Senior Engineer, Motion Controls
Responsibilities:
• Submit annual input for technical product development strategy.
• Assist sales in writing customer project proposals with clear and relevant
technical writing.
• Complete design, analysis, and simulation of analog and digital circuits
with control loop, FMEA, thermal, EMI/EMC, and performance analysis
including firmware for digital designs for brush and brushless, sensor and
sensorless, a/c and d/c motors for controlling motion and motor
parameters.
• Package designs and work with drafting team to release schematics and
drawings.
• Complete prototype and qualification testing of new designs.
• Specify and test controller components and control systems supplied by
third parties.
• Support factory and customer technical interchanges.
Required Education/Experience:
• BSEE or equivalent in analog and digital circuit design, PC board layout
and DFM. Power supply design knowledge a plus.
• 10 plus years of experience in electrical design, analysis and test of high
reliability precision motor and motion control systems.
• Two plus years of experience in small design team leadership.
• Must have detailed technical design, analysis and test level knowledge in
control loops.
• Superior technical writing skills
• Knowledge of AC induction motors, BLDC and brush motors.
• Positive and savvy customer interpersonal skills and presence
