RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements analysis
• Project scoping, system analysis, system and workflow design, process modelling and re-engineering

Information Architecture
• Ability to analyse data to help categorise and structure information
• Understand business entities, their attributes and relationships
• Develop conceptual file plans and site maps to reflect the conceptual information requirements
• Understand the different navigation models and how they should be used
• Understand metadata standards, such as Dublin Core, and Taxonomies.

Documentation
• Requirements Documentation, Functional Specifications, Technical Specifications, Project Estimation, Project Structure Documentation, Gap Analysis, Training Documentation, Metadata Analysis

Facilitation
• Facilitation of workshops and interviewing

Usability
• Usability testing, quality assurance

Testing
• Test case development, test execution

Training
• Demonstrations, Produce Training Documentation (manuals, quick sheets and presentations), Training Delivery; Presentation and lab-style

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Expert with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007).

• Has an appreciation of Application Development Tools e.g. Visual Studio .NET 2005/2008

• Commercial experience in delivering web based application architectures (including web services)

• Has experience across a wide range of projects based on Microsoft platform i.e. SharePoint and custom .Net applications ; intranets, extranets , internet corporate presences, , document management, information management solutions, campaign based projects (e.g. media)

• Commercial delivery experience involving web applications

• Experience in delivering usability requirements including accessibility

• Experience in development methodologies such as Agile, UML and user centered development

• Competent in methods and techniques for structured reviews, including reviews of technical diagrams, test plans, business cases and any other key deliverables

• Expert in the selection and application of information gathering methods, tools and techniques which are appropriate to the information required and the sources available e.g. contextual enquiries, focus groups, structured interviews, questionnaires, observation, statistical analysis

• Familiar and capable of implementing Corporate, Industry and Professional Standards e.g. helpdesk procedures, corporate QMS, ISO 9001

• Familiar with Operating Infrastructure used within own organization and is aware of project infrastructure and environment requirements

• Qualifications: Must have 3rd level education (IT specific preferred)

• Must be prepared to travel with role

• Able to provide general consulting role on SharePoint, guiding the client through the collaboration principles and their business benefits. Should be “hands on”, able to quickly build relationships and liaise with all stakeholders and members of the project team

• Good communication & presentation skills, particularly the ability to communicate complex technical issues in a jargon free manner to Client senior management

• Desirable if is a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in 1 or more of following;
– SharePoint Server 2007: Configuration; Exam 70-630 / Application Development; Exam 70-542
– SharePoint Services 3.0: Application Development; Exam 70-541 / Configuration; Exam 70-631
